First and foremost a line manager with a Masters Degree in Management Practice Simon is a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and a security specialist. After a military career specialising in surveillance, Simon began his civilian career working as a security consultant for P&O. In 1996 he was appointed Operations Director of an international London Venue which he left in 2002 to set up X-Venture. Simon is a former member of the IOSH Sports Grounds and Events Committee.
Kitty Garrett BSc (Hons)

After completing a food microbiology degree at Nottingham University Kitty worked for the Institute of Food Research on Department of Health and DEFRA projects and then at Barbour Index as an editor on their food safety briefings. As well as food safety consultancy Kitty runs the training aspects of the business.
Chloe Batchelor BSc Psychology, CMIOSH, MBPsS
Associate Consultant and Trainer. Specialist in behavioural science
Chloe is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner, accredited IOSH trainer and Chair of the IOSH Sports Ground and Events committee. After graduating in psychology, Chloe began her career in events working with some the largest UK exhibition organisers, gaining operational experience both in the UK and overseas. Subsequently, Chloe progressed to the role of Head of Operations and Safety at a leading multi-purpose venue. Chloe sits on numerous industry committees and has contributed to several industry guidance documents such as the AEV’s e-guide, the NAA’s a-guide, ESSA’s CDM resource pack and the g-guide. Drawing on both her academic expertise and 15 years industry experience, Chloe has recently completed a Masters in Behaviour Change. She is keen to apply her learning to exploring why those onsite make the decisions they do and ultimately implement initiatives to make the events industry a healthier, safer, and happier place for all. Chloe is currently completing an advanced diploma in counter terrorism risk management at the University of Cumbria.
Jeremy Garrett MEng TechIOSH
Associate Consultant and Trainer. Specialist in Structural Safety
Jeremy has a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Exeter. During his time at university, he worked at many large events including Goodwood Horse Racing, Farnborough Air Show and the Chelsea Flower Show and conducted a summer placement at Campbell Reith working in their events team. After three and a half years working for Ocado Group as a Solutions Design Manager, he joined the events industry full time working as a Safety Manager, Floor Manager and Sustainability Onsite Auditor at large events across Europe, as well as running a variety of courses for X-Venture. Jeremy, has a NEBOSH General Safety Certificate, is a Technical Member of IOSH and an approved IOSH trainer.
